Ismail Artagli announced the selection of 17 student representatives from the Central Province at the Kharazmi Youth Festival, stating: The approach of the education system must move towards skill-oriented and research-oriented methods.

He added: The students participating in this festival are the real builders of the country's future, and their success is the result of collaboration between families and the efforts of teachers and mentors.

Artagli emphasized the importance of international evaluations of educational systems, stating: The two international assessments, TIMSS and PIRLS, evaluate the performance of educational systems in various countries, and about 60 educational systems worldwide are assessed in these evaluations.
Challenges of Iran's Educational System
He continued: Iran's performance in TIMSS and PIRLS assessments is not satisfactory, and this issue is not solely related to the weakness of educational content; rather, there needs to be a reconsideration of learning methods and the application of knowledge.
The Deputy Director of Secondary Education in the Central Province's Education Department emphasized: Iran holds a high position in the world in terms of knowledge production and publication of scientific articles, ranking among the top 14 to 16 countries in some rankings. However, the important thing is that the produced knowledge is transformed into solutions for societal issues.
Artagli also pointed out the significance of the Kharazmi Youth Festival, stating: In this festival, students move away from a memory-based model and shift towards reasoning and skill-oriented approaches.
This festival allows students to continuously develop ideas in collaboration with teachers and mentors, transforming them into products, projects, or creative solutions.
He clarified: Students from the Central Province inherit a valuable scientific legacy, and the great scholars of this land have made significant contributions to the formation and development of knowledge in Iran. It is expected that the new generation will continue this path and pave the way for the emergence of future scientific and research groups.
Artagli concluded by stating: The path of research and creativity for students must be sustained so that this generation can play an effective role in solving the country's issues based on knowledge, skills, and teamwork in the future.
