The spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, in a weekly meeting with reporters in response to a question about Iran's interference in Yemen's issues, emphasized that Iran has no interference in these matters. Baghaei added: The regional situation is important to us, and some actors outside the region are seeking to escalate tensions between Islamic countries.

Iran's Position Regarding Yemen

Baghaei emphasized that Ansar Allah in Yemen is an independent party and makes decisions based on its own interests. He reminded that Yemen has been under aggression, siege, and the efforts of Yemenis to achieve their rights and dignity for the past 10 to 12 years. He referred to the attacks by the Zionist regime and the United States against Yemenis due to their principled stance in support of the Palestinian people and said: This demonstrates the freedom-seeking nature of Yemenis.

Projection by Regional Countries

The spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry referred to the positions of some regional countries regarding developments in Yemen and the allegations made against Iran, saying: My advice to all regional countries is to see the realities and not to project blame. These countries should focus on responsible approaches and convergence instead of creating tensions.

Baghaei also expressed condolences to the family of the latest martyr of Iranian resistance against American crimes, Jamshid Rajabi. He referred to an incident in which Iranian vessels were attacked by the American enemy, thus jeopardizing the security of waterways.

American Claims About Iran

Continuing, the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry responded to the Americans' claims regarding Iran's role in the attack on Saudi Arabia's oil pipeline, firmly denying it. Baghaei noted that the Americans are producing false news without any cost, and Islamic countries should be cautious of such actions.

Reaction to Austria's Denial of Visa Issuance

In response to the Austrian government's action in not issuing a visa for the Iranian delegation led by Eslami, Baghaei said: This action is absolutely unjustified, and the Austrian government should have acted according to its commitments. We have expressed our objections to the Austrian government, and the chargé d'affaires of that country has also been summoned for this purpose.

This official from the Foreign Ministry also referred to the Austrian government's justification regarding American pressure, stating: This issue in no way absolves the host government's responsibility. Countries must prevent external pressures and pay attention to their credibility.

The Oman Meeting and Future Cooperation

In response to criticisms regarding the holding of the Oman meeting at a time of rising oil prices, Baghaei explained that decision-making in foreign policy and national security is not one-dimensional and should not be questioned due to fluctuations in oil prices. He added: The meeting between Iran and Oman was an opportunity that regional countries should have taken advantage of.

Baghaei concluded by saying: What has been agreed upon between Iran and Oman is about determining safe maritime routes, and this was an opportunity for regional countries to expand their cooperation.
