National Cinema Day is always an opportunity to reflect on the achievements and challenges of this art in the country. This year, the Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Khorasan Razavi examined the status of cinema in the province and, referring to the winding path of this industry, spoke about the efforts made to maintain the position of cinema among cultural figures.
Continuous Changes and Stability of Position
The Director General of Culture pointed out that the cinema of Khorasan Razavi has faced numerous changes in recent years; however, it has managed to maintain its position among cinema and cultural figures. He also mentioned the challenges that filmmakers in this province face and emphasized that these changes have not hindered the progress of cinema but have, in a way, contributed to the formation of an independent and dynamic cinema in the province.
Efforts for a Bright Future
The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Khorasan Razavi further emphasized the importance of viewing cinema as a cultural and social tool, stating: "Cinema can reflect our society, culture, and history like a mirror. We must provide filmmakers with the necessary opportunities to produce valuable works with creativity and innovation."
According to him, supporting young filmmakers and holding local festivals are among the actions taken in this regard. Additionally, the Director General announced his future plans for developing cinematic infrastructure in the province and expressed hope that, with the cooperation of all institutions, the cinema of Khorasan Razavi would achieve its deserving position.
Finally, he highlighted the necessity of empathy and collaboration among filmmakers, officials, and the public, saying: "We hope that with collective effort and necessary support, cinema in Khorasan Razavi will reach its peak of flourishing and convey the voices of cultural figures to the world."
