Ahvaz - In a significant step towards improving the transport and road maintenance situation in Khuzestan, the Director General of Road Maintenance and Road Transport in the province announced that the comprehensive control and supervision plan for various transport and road maintenance sectors has begun, categorized by all counties in the province. This plan, designed to organize and enhance the quality of transport services, could bring about a fundamental transformation in this area.
Details of the Comprehensive Supervision Plan
The Director General of Road Maintenance emphasized the importance of this plan, stating: "The goal of implementing this plan is to enhance safety and the quality of transport services at the provincial level. We aim to identify weaknesses and strengths in the transport system to improve the infrastructure and services provided to the people." This plan will specifically focus on organizing the public transport fleet, examining the condition of roads, and related facilities.
He added: "With the implementation of this plan, we expect issues such as traffic, safety, and service quality to decrease, and the people of Khuzestan to benefit from better services." Additionally, this plan seeks to create closer collaborations among various departments and transport sector operators.
Challenges and Opportunities
Although this plan can provide many opportunities, it will also present challenges. The Director General of Road Maintenance spoke about the need for comprehensive cooperation among all relevant institutions and organizations, emphasizing that without the active participation of all stakeholders, the successful implementation of this plan will not be possible.
Ultimately, this initiative could be considered a turning point in the history of transport in Khuzestan. Given the increasing importance of transport in the economic and social development of the province, it is hoped that this plan will contribute to improving current conditions and future planning in this field.
