Sanandaj - The CEO of the Kurdistan Regional Water Company, Aryanajad, announced a critical situation at Siazak Dam and warned about the flood danger in this area. According to him, the upcoming rain wave, which will soon enter the region, significantly increases the likelihood of flooding.
Risks from Heavy Rainfall
Aryanajad emphasized that being in the vicinity of Siazak Dam and its downstream areas is very risky under these conditions. According to forecasts, heavy rainfall could lead to the reservoir of the dam overflowing, consequently bringing sudden and dangerous floods. This is particularly concerning for residents of downstream areas who are at risk of flooding.
The CEO of the Kurdistan Regional Water Company, referencing past experiences with floods, called for residents to pay special attention to warnings and to observe necessary safety measures. He also urged relevant authorities to be on full alert and to take necessary precautions to prevent unfortunate incidents.
Preventive Measures are Essential
Aryanajad continued: "It is necessary for people to heed safety recommendations and avoid going to dangerous areas during heavy rainfall. Additionally, rescue and service agencies must be fully prepared to respond quickly to assist victims in case of an incident."
Given the predicted weather conditions, it seems that this warning is not just a wake-up call but a serious reminder for all of us to prioritize our safety and that of others and to prevent the unfortunate consequences of floods.
