This para-athlete emphasized: "We throwers are at a higher risk of injury, especially if we throw continuously without rest. In any case, I faced this injury at a bad time because I had reached a stage in my training where, due to the approaching departure time, the volume and intensity of training had decreased. The Para-Asian Games will start on October ٢٦, and I am supposed to have my first competition on October ٢٧, but now I am injured."
Salehi's Brilliant Record
Elham Salehi, who previously won one gold (shot put) and one silver and bronze (javelin throw) in two editions of the Para-Asian Games, commented on her current situation: "Since I started training and preparing, I have had very good training sessions and recorded good results in both throws. My goal from the beginning was to win gold in both events, but now that I am injured, the situation has changed a bit."
This athlete also added about her participation in the Paris Paralympics: "I also won a bronze medal in javelin throw at the Paris Paralympics, and I hope to return to training and prepare for the Para-Asian Games."
Salehi concluded: "I will return to training soon so that I do not face any issues for the departure. I hope to achieve the best medal color again."
