Kim Yo Jong, sister of the North Korean leader and senior official of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, stated that North Korea will use all available tools to respond if there is a serious attack on its supreme interests.
Warning About Military Exercises
In Kim Yo Jong's statement, she said: "If the military plans of the enemies are considered a serious violation of the supreme interests of the state, military sovereignty, and the regional security environment, the armed forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will use all possible tools based on the relevant provisions of their constitutional mission."

These remarks were made following the joint military exercise "Freedom’s Edge" conducted by South Korea, the United States, and Japan from September 7 to 11. North Korea condemned these exercises as a practice for war against Pyongyang and emphasized the importance of enhancing its defensive capabilities.
North Korea's Nuclear Position
Kim Yo Jong also addressed the condemnation by the General Assembly of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which discussed the denuclearization of the country, stating that North Korea's position as a nuclear-armed state is "absolute." She referred to the disarmament requests made during the 70th regular session of the IAEA General Conference in Vienna as "repetitive foolish remarks."
Kim Yo Jong said: "The position of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as a nuclear-armed state is absolute and cannot be reversed by anything." She further added: "No matter how much the IAEA and the West insist on holding periodic meetings and discuss denuclearization based on a predetermined scenario, they cannot have any impact on the will and capability of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to take all necessary actions to defend its supreme interests."
She concluded by emphasizing: "The reality in which the nuclear position of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is physically and legally established permanently is not subject to even a tiny change. No one and nothing can reverse vital changes in the power and position of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, nor can it prevent them in the future."
