In a meeting dedicated to reviewing the status of historical artifacts and recent destructions in Sabzevar, the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts strongly emphasized the importance of protecting historical buildings and the cultural identity of 90 million Iranians. He stated that these artifacts belong to all Iranians and no individual or institution has the right to destroy them.

Delimiting Sovereign Rights and Individual Ownership

The Minister of Cultural Heritage, referring to legal actions regarding the illegal destruction of a valuable building in Sabzevar, said: "Private ownership is respected, but this does not mean permission to destroy historical artifacts." He emphasized that the government must take a firm stance in this regard and noted that offenders should be obliged to accurately and precisely restore this artifact.

Destruction of historical buildings not only affects cultural identity but can also have negative impacts on tourism and the local economy. The Minister of Cultural Heritage stated that historical artifacts are symbols of the identity and culture of Iran and called on all people to strive to protect this valuable heritage.

Call for National Solidarity

In this regard, he urged the community to respond to illegal destructions and to work together to protect their historical and cultural artifacts. He also referred to government programs aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of protecting historical artifacts and said: "We must show future generations that these buildings are not just stones and mortar, but they constitute our history and culture."

In summary, the Minister of Cultural Heritage emphasized that historical artifacts are the cultural identity of 90 million Iranians and warned offenders that no one has the right to harm cultural heritage by destroying these artifacts. He also stressed the necessity of restoring destroyed artifacts and called on the people to help preserve this shared identity.
