In line with achieving economic diplomacy and with the aim of introducing the valuable capacities of Zanjan Province in international arenas, the trade delegation of the Zanjan Copper Association, representing the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, embarked on a diplomatic-commercial mission to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. This trip was made to pave the way for exports and create an unbreakable bond between Zanjan producers and economic actors in this region.
Development of Economic Cooperation
The Kurdistan Region, with its rich resources and developing markets, is considered an attractive destination for exporting Zanjan products. During this trip, the trade delegation of the Zanjan Copper Association met with local officials and economic actors to explore cooperation opportunities. The main goal of this delegation was to introduce the capabilities and products of Zanjan copper to the Kurdistan market and establish new trade networks.
Managers of the Zanjan Copper Association believe that given the cultural and economic commonalities between Iran and the Kurdistan Region, bilateral cooperation could lead to increased exports and improved economic conditions for both sides. In this regard, organizing joint exhibitions and conferences is also on the agenda.
Bright Outlook for Exports
Considering the high capacities of the Kurdistan Region in attracting investment and the need for quality products, hopes for exporting Zanjan copper to this region are very high. This cooperation could lead to job development and increased income for Zanjan producers as well as meet the needs of the Kurdistan market.
It seems that this diplomatic-commercial mission is a significant step towards developing economic relations and advancing exports from Zanjan Province. However, there are also challenges along the way that require careful attention and planning. Especially in the current conditions where sanctions and economic restrictions have impacted commercial activities, such initiatives can help strengthen economic and trade ties.
