Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in recent remarks referred to the preparation of a counter-influence law and stressed the necessity of drafting a transparent and precise law. He believes that this law should be written in a way that not only helps the security of the country but also respects individual rights and freedoms.
The Need for Precision in Law Drafting
Qalibaf continued his remarks by saying: "We need the counter-influence law to be drafted in such a way that there is no ambiguity in it. This law must clearly and explicitly refer to the responsibilities and rights of individuals. Our goal is to ensure that there is no disturbance to the personal security of individuals. Therefore, drafting a precise and transparent law that considers all aspects is essential."
He also emphasized the importance of interaction between various institutions and synergy in this area, stating: "If different institutions do not come together and cooperate, we cannot achieve desirable results. Everyone must strive in this direction to draft a comprehensive and effective law."
Existing Challenges in Legislation
Qalibaf, referring to the existing challenges in the legislative process, noted that efforts must be made to gather various opinions on this matter and seriously examine them. He added: "We must not allow the law to be drafted in a way that leads to abuse or non-compliance with individual rights. This is a significant responsibility and must be addressed seriously."
In conclusion, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly called for greater cooperation between legal and executive institutions to achieve a comprehensive and effective law and emphasized that everyone must be actively engaged in this regard.
