In order to improve and enhance the quality of tourism services, the Technical Commission for Monitoring the Activities of Travel Agencies and Tourism Guides in Semnan province recently held a meeting. This session, attended by representatives of specialized tourism organizations and relevant officials, examined the challenges and opportunities in this field.
Challenges and Opportunities in Semnan Tourism
The Deputy of Tourism at the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Semnan province emphasized the important role of travel agencies and tourism guides in this meeting, stating: "These agencies not only act as a bridge between travelers and tourist attractions but also play a significant role in introducing the rich culture and history of the province."
He also referred to the challenges faced by travel agencies, adding: "The lack of sufficient support from government institutions and unfair competition with some tourism applications are among the issues that need to be addressed."
The Necessity of Collaboration Among Institutions
During this meeting, representatives of tourism organizations stressed the need for closer cooperation between travel agencies and government institutions. They believe that only through synergy and the establishment of a cohesive network can the existing problems be overcome and the province's tourism be elevated to higher levels.
According to one of the representatives, "We must move towards creating an environment where Semnan province is recognized as one of the main travel destinations in the country. This requires collective effort and precise planning."
At the end of this meeting, the members of the Technical Commission committed to taking effective steps towards the development and prosperity of tourism in Semnan province by formulating operational plans. It seems that if these plans are implemented, a bright future awaits this sector.
