In today's world, mosques should not be limited to a place for performing prayers. The Sunni Friday Prayer Leader of Kermanshah emphasized in his remarks that mosques should become cultural, educational, and social focal points for youth.

The Necessity of Attracting Youth

The Sunni Friday Prayer Leader stated that the younger generation today is seeking a suitable space for social and cultural activities, saying: "The mosque should become a cultural complex where young people can engage in sports, artistic, and educational activities. This not only helps strengthen the faith of young people but also encourages them to lead a more active social life."

Creating Necessary Infrastructure

He added: "If we want young people to turn to mosques, we must provide the necessary infrastructure for cultural and social activities in these places. This includes establishing libraries, holding educational courses, and creating sports facilities. We must create an environment where young people feel comfortable and free to express their thoughts and ideas."

The Sunni Friday Prayer Leader also highlighted the necessity of collaboration among various institutions, including education and the sports and youth administration, to achieve this goal, stating: "We must work together to make mosques attractive and vibrant places for youth. This is the only solution to prevent social isolation and encourage young people to participate in society."

On the other hand, he emphasized the importance of accepting and supporting the innovative ideas of young people in mosques, adding: "We must trust young people and give them space to implement their ideas. This not only helps their personal growth but will also strengthen the community."
