In controversial remarks, he discussed the issue of justice in providing public transport services and pointed out that significant costs must be considered to achieve this goal.

Tashakori Hashemi explained that in recent meetings, several options for improving public transport have been examined. One of these viewpoints emphasizes that all citizens should equally benefit from free transport facilities. However, according to him, this would mean an annual reduction of about 6 trillion tomans from the revenues of Tehran Municipality.
This reduction in revenue could directly impact the development of the metro and bus fleet and ultimately would not be in the interest of citizens. Criticizing this viewpoint, he noted that the quality of public transport services should take precedence and that justice should be established instead of equality.

Tashakori Hashemi emphasized that the people of Tehran want high-quality and safe buses and metros, not just low fares. He stated that to satisfy citizens, special attention must be paid to improving infrastructure and financial resources must be managed effectively.
