Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, made a concerning statement that Russia produces an average of 140 ballistic missiles each month. This alarming statistic reflects the high capability of the Russian military industry and the serious challenges facing Ukraine in securing the necessary weapons to defend its territory.
Ukraine's Arms Challenges
Zelensky stated that even securing 100 missiles for his country would be a significant challenge, emphasizing the need for international cooperation and expedited delivery of weapons to Ukraine. According to him, this situation could severely impact the course of the war and inflict more harm on Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine noted that the lack of access to advanced air defense systems, such as the Patriot system, has placed Ukraine in a vulnerable position. He also urged the international community to fulfill their promises regarding military support for Ukraine and help the country confront the increasing threats from Russia.
Zelensky's Message to the Global Community
Zelensky continued his remarks by indicating that Ukraine is continuously assessing its military situation and believes it must quickly gain access to more arms resources. He addressed the supporting countries of Ukraine, saying: “We need your support to defend ourselves against these serious threats.”
As the war in Ukraine continues, the ongoing production of ballistic missiles by Russia could exacerbate the crisis and increase human casualties. Zelensky warned the global community about this issue, stating that they must pay more attention to these dangers and take necessary actions to support Ukraine.
