Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, expressed deep concern about the shortage of Patriot missiles in his latest remarks. He emphasized that this shortage could jeopardize Ukraine's national security and severely harm the country's defense efforts.
Shortage of Weapons and Serious Threats
Zelensky said: "We are in a situation where there is an urgent need for Patriot missiles. These defense systems are vital for countering Russia's air and missile threats." He added that this shortage makes Ukraine more vulnerable to enemy air and missile attacks.
The President of Ukraine also pointed out that the lack of these weapons could weaken the morale of military forces and the people. He urged the international community to act quickly to meet these defense needs so that Ukraine can resist Russia's aggression.
Pressure on Supporting Countries
Zelensky further noted that Ukraine's supporting countries need to pay more attention to meeting the weaponry needs of this country. He said: "We need military and financial support, and this issue must be prioritized." This request from Zelensky comes at a time when Western countries, due to resource shortages and internal challenges, have been unable to meet all of Ukraine's needs.
Meanwhile, concerns about increased Russian attacks on Ukraine have grown, prompting Zelensky to strongly emphasize the need for weapons. He stated that every day that passes without securing these weapons means an increased risk for Ukraine's security.
