Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, warned in a recent speech about the dangers posed by the shortage of Patriot missiles in the coming months. He emphasized that his country needs to secure 100 to 120 interceptor missiles to face the tough challenges of the cold season.
Ukraine's Major Challenge
Zelensky stated: "This is truly a major challenge. We must be fully prepared for each of the difficult months ahead, especially in the cold of winter." He added that the failure to timely secure these missiles could complicate conditions for Ukraine significantly and affect the country's defensive capabilities.
As a country currently battling external threats, Ukraine requires more military and weaponry resources. Zelensky expressed concern that if international assistance is not provided immediately, dire consequences await the country.
Emphasis on International Cooperation
The President of Ukraine also stressed the importance of international cooperation in this regard, stating: "We need the continuous and effective support of allied countries to defend our sovereignty and the security of our territory." Zelensky also urged Western countries to adhere to their commitments regarding the provision of weapons and military equipment.
