The eighty-fourth session of the series of Iran Nights titled 'Afghanistan Night' will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at the Andisheh Cultural Center in Tehran to explore the history, culture, art, and literature of Afghanistan.
Purpose of the Session
This session will examine the ancient cultural and civilizational ties between Afghanistan and Iran and aims to introduce various aspects of the history, culture, and art of this land. In 'Afghanistan Night', topics such as the culture and rituals of the Afghan people, traditional and contemporary arts, and the Persian literature of this country will be discussed.

Speakers and Content of the Session
Jafar Haqpanah, Mostafa Aghli, and Rashad Pouya have been introduced as the speakers of this program. They will discuss various historical, cultural, and artistic aspects of Afghanistan and its connections with the Iranian civilization. Additionally, the role of Afghan poets, writers, and artists in the formation, continuity, and expansion of Persian culture and literature will be addressed, and the cultural and literary commonalities between the people of Iran and Afghanistan will be examined.
This session will be moderated by Mohammad Reza Vahdati and is considered a suitable opportunity for a deeper understanding of Afghanistan's cultural capacities and for strengthening cultural dialogues between the two nations of Iran and Afghanistan. 'Afghanistan Night' is an effort to present a cultural and human image of Afghanistan; a land whose language, poetry, music, art, and rituals have been interconnected with the culture of Iran and other civilizations for centuries.
Participants in this program will have the opportunity to become familiar with the rich history and culture of Afghanistan and learn more about topics such as the art and literature of this country.
