Pakistan's Mediation in the Iran-U.S. Dispute
General Ahmed Sharif, in an interview with an Arab media outlet regarding the latest developments in the region, referred to Pakistan's mediation between Iran and the United States and the joint defense pact with Turkey and Saudi Arabia. He also clarified that Islamabad is never seeking ambition or competition with other countries through this pact and emphasized that the trilateral defense pact does not have any aggressive or interventionist aspects.

This pact, according to Chaudhry, is based on collective deterrence and not a club limited to Islamic states. He noted that the doors of this agreement are open to partners who support regional peace and stability. The Necessity of Dialogue to Resolve Disputes
The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army further addressed his country's role in mediating the Iran-U.S. dispute, stating: "Islamabad has decided to play this role solely for regional peace, as stability is rooted in regional peace." He believes that the only solution to this dispute is dialogue and negotiation and urged all parties involved to strive for a peaceful outcome.
Ahmed Sharif also emphasized the need for continued work by mediators and those willing to mediate impartially and sincerely. He clarified that Pakistan has no personal goals or specific interests in this dispute and that the only aim of the country is to prevent the escalation of conflicts and resolve disagreements through dialogue.
