The Director General of Environmental Protection of Hormozgan reported the observation of dense oil spills on the coasts of Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Minab, and Hormuz Island. Habib Masihee Taziani mentioned that oil balls have recently been observed on the shores of Soro and Golshahr in Bandar Abbas, and these balls have also been seen in Hormuz and Minab.
Concerning Situation in Sirik
The head of environmental protection in Hormozgan emphasized that one of the most important reports is the arrival of these oil balls at the mouths of some shrimp farming channels in Sirik, adding: The volume of these oil balls in Sirik is significant, and expert assessments to accurately evaluate the situation are underway.

Immediate Actions for Crisis Management
Masihee Taziani continued: Necessary actions to manage this challenge have begun in cooperation with Fisheries, the Sirik Governorate, Ports and Navigation, and in coordination with the Crisis Management of Hormozgan Province. Collecting oil balls with suction tools is difficult, and efforts to contain and encircle them and collect them with pads and absorbent tools are ongoing.
The Director General of Environmental Protection of Hormozgan also warned the public to avoid swimming in the shores and waters where oil balls have been observed. This is particularly important in the shores of Sirik and Bandar Abbas, which are currently affected by oil pollution.
Given the environmental and health consequences of this pollution, there is a felt need for immediate and effective action. Environmental experts are examining various aspects of this pollution and proposing necessary solutions to control and reduce it.
