More than 250,000 primary school students in Hormozgan are ready to enter schools, and teachers are fully prepared to welcome these students. Hoorieh Hajizadeh, the Deputy for Primary Education at the Hormozgan Education Department, announced this news regarding the schools' readiness for reopening in the coming days.
Registration of newcomers and the Blossom Festival
According to the system report, so far, 34,000 first-grade newcomers have registered in the province's schools and are ready to enter school. The Blossom Festival, as the initial ceremony of the new school year, will be held on September 21 with the presence of these newcomers in the schools of villages and cities in the province. First-grade teachers have worked to create a joyful and suitable environment for students to enter school.

School readiness and monitoring conditions
Hajizadeh pointed out the readiness of the province's schools for various conditions, stating: "All schools are fully prepared to welcome students, and monitoring teams have visited schools multiple times in the field to closely assess their conditions." She also added that deficiencies in schools and areas needing renovation have been identified, and the process of addressing these deficiencies is underway.
The Deputy for Primary Education at the Hormozgan Education Department continued: "On September 19, a reopening drill will also be held with the presence of students, and provincial teams including experts and deputies from the Education Department will be dispatched throughout the province to closely monitor the schools' readiness once again."
Shad platform and support for students
Hajizadeh also referred to the capacity of the Shad platform, saying: "The Shad platform has been updated and upgraded, and the capability for conducting interactive classes has been created on it." She continued that if there are any deficiencies or weaknesses in using Shad in Hormozgan, it may relate to the infrastructure and internet deficiencies.
The Deputy for Primary Education at the Hormozgan Education Department also mentioned the Mehr project, which started its activities in June, and under this project, a spirit of solidarity has been formed. Parents, village heads, school principals, and Islamic councils of cities and villages have participated in preparing schools to provide a safe and calm environment for students.
Start of the school year and registration of foreign students
The nationwide start of the school year will be on October 1 this year in Minab County, and the bell signaling the start of education will ring from this county across the country. Hajizadeh also commented on the registration of legal foreign students, stating: "Nearly four thousand foreign students have been definitively registered in the system, and their parents can visit schools and provide the necessary documents to complete their children's registration."
She also discussed the preschool period, saying: "Preschools are non-governmental, and if they visit government schools, this period is not governmental and incurs a fee. Tuition fees are determined through a system based on the services provided."
Hajizadeh emphasized that preschool is not mandatory but has educational requirements, stating: "Our recommendation is that families enroll their five-year-old children in kindergartens, as children who go through this period and those who do not may differ educationally and developmentally when attending a class together."
The Deputy for Primary Education at the Hormozgan Education Department concluded by appreciating the cooperation and participation of families in valuing their children's education, as well as the efforts of education colleagues and the administrative staff of schools in beautifying and refreshing schools.
