The fifth national ceremony to honor lasting figures of cultural heritage titled "Iran; Home of the Good Ones" was held this afternoon, Tuesday, September 23, at the Saadabad Cultural-Historical Complex. This event was attended by Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, along with a number of ambassadors and diplomats residing in Tehran, experts, university professors, and veterans in the three areas of cultural heritage, tourism, and handicrafts.
Recent Challenges and the Historical Resilience of the Iranian Nation
Ali Darabi, Deputy Minister and Assistant for Cultural Heritage, mentioned the challenges and critical ups and downs of the past year and the historical resilience of the Iranian nation against enemy aggressions, stating: "Dear Iran has been targeted during this period by heavy assaults and aggressions from domineering powers including the United States and the Zionist regime, which led to the bombing of over 14,000 locations across the country and the martyrdom of more than 4,000 compatriots."

Damage to Cultural Heritage and Preventive Measures
Darabi pointed out the blatant violation of international treaties regarding the protection of human heritage, emphasizing: "During these aggressions, unfortunately, 149 historical monuments of the country were damaged, which is a clear violation of all conventions and international regulations concerning the protection of cultural and historical properties." Nevertheless, he stressed that with preventive measures and the sacrifices of the servants in this field, not a single historical object was harmed, and the national and civilizational legacies of the country were preserved as if they were lives.
The Deputy for Cultural Heritage also addressed the components that strengthen Iranian-Islamic identity, adding: "The secret of the resilience of the Iranian nation throughout history rests on two fundamental pillars: religious belief and the noble Persian language."
In conclusion, Darabi regarded the honoring of elites and outstanding figures in the field of cultural heritage as a necessity for civilization-building and emphasized: "Honoring the status of veterans and dignitaries is a valuable tradition influenced by the noble prophetic tradition. Honoring the lasting figures of cultural heritage is, in fact, a tribute to the history, civilization, and identity of Great Iran."
