Today, Wednesday (September 25), scattered rain showers, occasional thunderstorms, and temporary strong winds are predicted in the provinces of Gilan and Mazandaran.
Weather Forecast for the North and South of the Country
A meteorologist from the National Weather Organization stated: "Rain showers, thunderstorms, and temporary winds in the north of the country will be limited to the provinces of Gilan and Mazandaran. In the south of the country, these conditions are expected for southern Kerman, southern Sistan and Baluchestan, and the heights of Hormozgan."

Continuation of Rainfall and Temperature Decrease
Kobra Rafiei added: "On Thursday, with the northern winds over the Caspian Sea, rain is expected in the provinces of Gilan, Ardabil, and western Mazandaran. On Friday, scattered rain showers, thunderstorms, and temporary strong winds are expected in northern East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Gilan, Mazandaran, and the central Alborz heights." She also mentioned that with the arrival of a new rainfall system, a relative decrease in temperature is expected in Gilan and eastern Ardabil.
Winds are predicted in the east, northeast, and southeast of the country. Rafiei added: "On Friday, the phenomenon of temporary strong winds will occur not only in the eastern strip of the country but also in the west and northwest, causing dust storms."
Marine Warning and Its Hazards
The Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Sea of Oman are turbulent and choppy. An increase in wind speed and wave height in coastal and offshore areas of Hormozgan province is accompanied by a yellow weather warning. The hazards of this warning include the possibility of drowning for swimmers and divers, tearing of fishing nets, damage to fish farming cages, disruption of maritime traffic, and fishing boat movements. In these conditions, caution is advised in recreational and fishing activities and the movement of light and semi-heavy vessels.
The sky in Tehran province is clear to partly cloudy, with increased wind and cloud cover expected at times. Temperature fluctuations in Tehran are between 24 and 33 degrees.
The report from the National Weather Organization also indicates that the average temperature in the country over the past week has increased by 1.5 degrees Celsius compared to the long-term average. The highest temperature increase was recorded in South Khorasan with 3.4 degrees and Kerman province with 2.9 degrees. Qazvin province recorded the least temperature change compared to the long-term average with 1.1 degrees below zero.
