The 15th International 100 Film Festival began on September 15 at the Islamic Revolution Art House and will continue until September 18. This edition of the festival is directed by Mohaddeseh Pirhadi, and the selected works will be screened in the main halls of the Art House.

Festival with 170 Works in the Competition Section

The 100 Film Festival in its 15th edition will host 170 works in the main competition section, with 36 works in the national section, 29 works in the international section, and 105 works in the special section "For the Homeland." A review of the list of works introduced by the provincial centers of the Art House shows that 58 works from artists in 18 provinces are participating in this edition of the festival.

Strong Presence of Provinces

According to the list of works, the Art House of Qom has the highest number of works among the participating provinces with 11 works. Following Qom, Razavi Khorasan has 9 works, and the provinces of West Azerbaijan, Fars, and Qazvin each have 5 works. Isfahan has 4 works, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad has 3 works, and other provinces each have one or two works represented in this festival.

This geographical distribution has turned the presence of the Art House's works in the 100 Film Festival into a participation that goes beyond a few limited provinces, bringing together a diverse range of provincial filmmakers in one of the most important short film events in the country.

Special Section "For the Homeland"

One of the most important sections of this edition is the special section "For the Homeland," which focuses on themes related to homeland, national identity, resistance, and human and social narratives. A significant portion of the Art House's works is dedicated to this section.

Works from Razavi Khorasan, Qazvin, and other provinces have made it to this section, including titles such as "Iran" directed by Hamid Malihi and "Captain on the Roof" directed by Mohaddeseh Vahidi. Additionally, in the international competition section, works by artists such as "Al" directed by Taymaz Ashrafi and "Blue Trace" by Fahimeh Qaidai will be screened.

The presence of the Art House's works in the 15th 100 Film Festival demonstrates the diversity and richness of cinematic productions from these provinces, which are not limited to local or national themes and hold a special place internationally.
