Bahram Sarmast on Wednesday evening at the inauguration ceremony of the animal and poultry feed production unit Tak-Dane and a meeting with activists in the livestock and poultry sector of Maragheh, emphasized the need to pay attention to the views of agricultural sector activists and said: "We must believe in the farmer and fully understand his issues and concerns."
The Necessity of Farmers' Participation in Decision-Making
Sarmast stated that farmers must be involved in decision-making related to this sector, and their views and experiences should be taken into account in policymaking. He pointed to the provincial management's approach to solving issues in various sectors, adding: One of the actions of the provincial management is to create a platform for dialogue, exchange of ideas, and brainstorming to solve the issues and problems of different sectors.

Invitation to Officials for Field Presence
The Governor of East Azerbaijan continued: We invite officials and national authorities to observe the issues, capacities, and problems of the counties up close by being present in the province and to make decisions to remove existing obstacles. Sarmast also referred to following up on East Azerbaijan's issues in the capital and said: We continuously pursue the province's issues and problems in Tehran to seriously address the existing barriers to development and find solutions for them.
Introducing County Capacities
He referred to the simultaneous visit of the Minister of Agriculture to East Azerbaijan with the implementation of the "Iran Jan" event and added: This visit was planned during this event to showcase the capacities of the province's counties and introduce East Azerbaijan's capabilities to people across the country. Sarmast considered Maragheh as one of the important agricultural hubs of the province and stated: This county, especially in the field of apple production, has considerable potential.
Sustainable Development Considering Local Capacities
The Governor of East Azerbaijan also referred to specialized festivals to introduce products and strengthen local brands and said: These festivals will also be held in other counties of East Azerbaijan. He also highlighted the cultural, historical, and tourism capacities of Maragheh and added: The development of the county should not solely focus on agriculture and production, but cultural, historical, and tourism capacities should also be utilized in the development process.
Sarmast concluded by stating: The provincial management supports a development model based on identifying, strengthening, and utilizing the local capacities of the counties and will strive to create more opportunities for using these capacities in the province's development.
