Gholamreza Nouri announced on Wednesday evening in a meeting with livestock and poultry activists in Maragheh County that poultry farmers should not worry about fuel supply and that their fuel supply will not face any issues. He emphasized the importance of energy supply for the agricultural sector and support for electricity production through solar cells.
Energy Projects and Increasing Efficiency
The Minister of Agriculture Jihad referred to the ministry's plans for supplying energy to the agricultural sector and stated that if land allocation is needed for implementing solar energy projects, efforts will be made to complete the allocation process in less than a month. Nouri also said: "The Ministry of Energy will cooperate and support in this regard so that not only the energy needs of the agricultural sector are met, but also part of the country's energy needs are supplied."

He emphasized the necessity of improving efficiency in the agricultural sector, adding: "The development of intensive crops, greenhouses, and processing and complementary industries should be focused on to create more added value from agricultural products." Nouri also referred to the development of processing and complementary industries if there are applicants and investors, stating that the existing capacities in this sector should be activated.
Energy Consumption Management and Electricity Bill Reform
The Minister of Agriculture Jihad emphasized the necessity of energy consumption management and said: "All sectors must participate in the optimal energy consumption and savings, and the agricultural sector must also cooperate to the maximum in this regard." He also mentioned that the electricity bills of some agricultural units are being reformed.
Nouri continued: "Producers must have a presence and play an effective role in the market, as without entering this stage, the possibility of diversifying production and appropriately utilizing market capacity will not be provided." Regarding the supply of animal and poultry feed, he stated that improvements have been made in this area and past issues in the supply of inputs are being resolved.
He referred to the market platform, saying: "This system has been reformed, and by creating competition in the delivery of inputs, some of the existing problems and leaks in this area have been addressed." Nouri also mentioned the supply of 800,000 tons of goods in the market platform and stated that the amount of corn purchased in this system has exceeded 900,000 tons this month.
The Minister of Agriculture Jihad, referring to the difficult conditions in the country and the continuation of the production chain, said: "Even in wartime conditions and despite restrictions, livestock and poultry farmers were able to secure their necessary inputs." He appreciated the farmers and producers, considering their role in meeting the country's needs as very important.
Nouri concluded by referring to the role of the armed forces and producers in ensuring the country's security, stating: "The armed forces defended the country, and producers played an important role in meeting the needs of the people by continuing production. During this period, the market and stores did not face a shortage of goods, and the supply of essential goods continued."
