Mawlawi Bilal Haqani-Mansh, in an interview with Mehr News Agency, condemned the assassination of Mawlawi Mohammad Yousuf Gorgich, stating: The martyrdom of this Sunni scholar once again highlights the urgent need for serious attention to the security of scholars, clerics, and the people, and the enemies must understand that criminal actions cannot weaken the unity of the people.
Serious concerns about terrorist attacks
The Sunni Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Zahedan stated: When a religious scholar is targeted in front of his home, this incident raises serious concerns about the goals of violent groups and their efforts to create insecurity in society.

He added: The country is in a sensitive situation, and the people must be more vigilant than ever regarding the plans designed to create division and insecurity; as the enemies attempt to exploit the war atmosphere and increase psychological pressures to disrupt the peace of society and create distance among the people.
Preserving unity and social security
Mawlawi Haqani-Mansh, referring to the history of coexistence between Shia and Sunni in Sistan and Baluchestan, said: The people of the province have lived alongside each other over the years and have united in many incidents to defend the security of the region; this social capital must be preserved, and no incident should serve as a basis for confrontation among the people.
He urged the people to maintain calm and vigilance, stating: We must not allow rumors and unverified news to exacerbate concerns or create divisions; in the current situation, maintaining the psychological security of society is as important as physical security.
The Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Zahedan noted: The responsibility of scholars, trusted individuals, and community leaders is heavier than before, and we must invite the people to patience, calmness, vigilance, and cohesion, and not allow the enemy to influence the social atmosphere of the province with a bitter incident.
He added: The Sunni community expects officials to seriously pursue the issue of Mawlawi Gorgich's assassination and identify the perpetrators and planners of this crime and punish them according to the law; holding the assassins accountable is a natural demand of the martyr's family and the people.
Mawlawi Haqani-Mansh concluded by saying: The martyrdom of Mawlawi Yousuf Gorgich is a loss for the religious community, but the response of the people to terrorism must be to maintain unity, safeguard security, strengthen solidarity, and stand against any movement that targets the peace of the people; the Sunni community of Sistan and Baluchestan will not allow the blood of a religious scholar to become a factor for creating division among the people.
