Noori: The Dredging Movement Will Be Implemented in 448 Locations in North Khorasan

Bahman Noori, in a meeting with the governors of North Khorasan, announced the start of the dredging movement in 448 locations in the province and emphasized the importance of advancing dredging operations in all counties. He considered preserving the lives and interests of the people as the top priority, especially with the rainy season approaching.

The Necessity of Serious Follow-up by Governors

Noori stated that there is strict oversight in the work of executive managers, adding: "We also have high expectations from the managers; therefore, governors must seriously follow up on the implementation of the dredging movement and strive to expedite these actions."

The governor of North Khorasan stated: "For the implementation of the dredging movement, all agencies must be on board, and we must mobilize all capacities to prevent damage to people's homes." He also warned that in the event of heavy rainfall, we should not witness destructive effects and preventable damages.

Preventive Measures and Need for Machinery

Noori further referred to the issue of heavy rainfall and the possibility of weather phenomena, saying: "Preventive measures must be taken more swiftly." He emphasized utilizing the capacities of executive agencies to secure the necessary machinery and called for cooperation from the Islamic Revolution Housing Foundation in counties facing shortages of machinery.

The governor of North Khorasan, referring to the actions taken as part of the dredging movement, called for the commencement of the second phase of this plan by the governors and said: "Providing comprehensive and timely reports will ensure that the follow-up and implementation of actions proceed more swiftly."

According to the provincial crisis management report, a total of 448 locations have been identified for the implementation of the dredging movement, of which 120 locations have been designated as significant. The dredging operations began on July 31 in the city of Shirvan, where 15 locations have been identified.

Additionally, the regional water company has identified 20 priority dredging locations in each county, based on the final list provided by the governors, with 10 locations designated as the first priority and 10 locations as the second priority. So far, dredging operations have been carried out in 95 of the identified locations in the province's counties, with actions being implemented in both urban and rural areas.

During this meeting, the topic of energy management in the fields of electricity and gas and the necessary measures for energy supply and management during the cold season were also discussed.
