Habibollah Mohibi, the director general of the Housing Foundation of Ilam province, announced that repairs of over 8,000 damaged units in this province have been completed. This project, which was carried out in collaboration with the people and executive agencies, began specifically following the assessment of the damaged units.
Assessment and Initial Actions
Mohibi, in an interview with reporters, referred to the start of the assessment of the damaged units and said: More than 120 personnel from the Housing Foundation are engaged in assessing residential, commercial units, and essential items for the people. These assessments were conducted after extensive destruction occurred in various regions of the province.

The director general of the Housing Foundation stated that out of the total damaged units, more than 155 residential units have been completely destroyed, emphasizing that alongside this, 37 commercial units have also been completely lost, and debris removal operations were immediately initiated by the special order of the governor.
Financial Assistance and Reconstruction Process
Mohibi noted that the destroyed units were introduced for housing deposit and rental assistance after assessment, and all related amounts have been fully paid. He emphasized that no uninhabitable unit has remained without receiving financial assistance.
He added: A significant portion of the units needing repairs has been reconstructed with the participation of the people themselves. After the work order was announced, the people acted immediately, and currently, repairs of over 8,000 units have been completed.
Mohibi also referred to the process of issuing construction permits and said: All applicants for constructed units have been referred to the municipalities of 16 cities in the province to follow up on their construction processes.
In response to the people's demand regarding the inadequacy of facilities, Mohibi explained: Compensation amounts are approved by the cabinet and the Supreme Housing Council and are not available to the provinces. Given the increase in material prices, we need to reconsider this issue, which is being pursued at the national level.
The director general of the Housing Foundation concluded by emphasizing that the government and the system will not leave the affected people alone, stating: The reconstruction process of the destroyed units will continue with greater speed in collaboration with executive agencies and the participation of the people.
