The regulations for the formation and activity of nursing system assemblies have recently been announced, aiming to enhance accountability and coordination within the nursing system organization. These regulations emphasize strengthening cooperation among the boards of nursing systems in provinces and developing the role of the national assembly of board representatives in macro policy-making and oversight of the organization's activities.
Formation of the National Assembly of Board Representatives
According to these regulations, the national assembly of nursing system board representatives will be formed with the presence of representatives that the boards nominate at the beginning of each term for the Supreme Council elections. The selection of the Supreme Council members in the first meeting, reviewing the performance report of the Supreme Council and the organization, and proposing macro strategies are among the goals of this assembly. The national assembly will convene at the beginning of each term and at least once a year.

Formation of Provincial Assemblies and Their Goals
The regulations also foresee the formation of provincial assemblies aimed at coordinating among the boards of nursing systems, addressing professional and occupational issues of nurses, and pursuing provincial matters through local authorities and national channels. The heads of the provincial nursing system boards and members of the regional Supreme Council will constitute the provincial assembly, and the assembly president will be elected for a two-year term by the members' vote.
Meetings of these assemblies will be held at least once every six months, and the legal quorum for their formation requires the presence of half plus one of the assembly members. According to the provisions of the regulations, the decisions of the assemblies must not contradict the duties and powers of the boards, the central organization, and the Supreme Council, and decisions will be approved by a relative majority vote of the participants in the meeting.
In the announcement letter from the nursing system organization, the boards of each province have been requested to take action to form the provincial assembly on Nurse Day. The nursing system organization has also stated that it is working to hold the national assembly meeting at the earliest opportunity after Nurse Day with the approval of the Supreme Council.
