Three representatives of Hormozgan sports have been sent to the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games. The farewell ceremony for these representatives was held with the presence of Fatemeh Moradi, Deputy of Women's Sports in Hormozgan Province, representing Mehdi Fooladi, the Director General of Sports and Youth of the province, and Narges Khaksari, Vice President of the Provincial Shooting Federation, at Imam Khomeini International Airport.
Introduction of Hormozgan Representatives
At this ceremony, Samiyeh Yasi in shooting, Abolhasan Khaki Zadeh in beach volleyball, and Abdolraouf Bastgani as the coach of the Iranian national beach volleyball team were sent off to participate in the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games. This dispatch reflects the efforts and perseverance of Hormozgani athletes who will represent on international stages.

Support for Athletes
Fatemeh Moradi, on the sidelines of this ceremony, wished success for the province's representatives, stating: "The presence of Hormozgani athletes at the Nagoya Asian Games demonstrates the high potential of sports in the province and is the result of the continuous efforts of Hormozgani champions and coaches." She added: "This presence can serve as a model for the youth and talented athletes of the province and pave the way for the brilliance of future generations."
Moradi also expressed gratitude for the positive outlook and support of the Director General of Sports and Youth of Hormozgan in supporting the dispatched athletes, coaches, and referees. In this regard, an amount of 100 million tomans was awarded to the dispatched athletes.

The Deputy of Women's Sports in Hormozgan Province continued: "The General Directorate of Sports and Youth will utilize all its capacities to support these champions on their path to progress, and we hope to witness the brilliance of Hormozgan representatives and the raising of the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Nagoya Asian Games." These supports and encouragements can motivate athletes to perform their best in this major event.
