The Deputy for Reconstruction and Rural Housing of the Islamic Revolution Housing Foundation of North Khorasan announced that out of more than 100,000 rural housing units in the province, only 1,181 units have been successfully reinforced. Meanwhile, 31% of the rural houses in North Khorasan are still awaiting renovation and safety improvements.

Rural Housing Situation in North Khorasan

Given the climatic conditions and seismic activity in some areas of North Khorasan, the reinforcement and safety of rural houses are of particular importance. This province, with its numerous villages and significant population in rural areas, requires special attention to housing infrastructure. The Deputy of the Housing Foundation emphasized that reinforcing houses is essential not only for the safety of residents but also for preserving rural culture and identity.

Challenges of Reinforcement and Renovation

One of the main challenges in the reinforcement of rural housing is the lack of financial resources and the residents' unawareness of the importance of this issue. Many villagers refrain from renovating their homes due to high costs and lack of access to suitable facilities. Additionally, the absence of necessary training in safe construction has exacerbated existing problems.

The Islamic Revolution Housing Foundation is striving to encourage villagers to reinforce their homes by providing facilities and necessary training. These efforts can help improve the rural housing situation and reduce risks associated with natural disasters.
