The Deputy for Reconstruction and Rural Housing of the Islamic Revolution Housing Foundation of North Khorasan announced that out of more than 100,000 rural housing units in the province, only 1,181 units have been successfully reinforced. Meanwhile, 31% of the rural houses in North Khorasan are still awaiting renovation and safety improvements.

Given the climatic conditions and seismic activity in some areas of North Khorasan, the reinforcement and safety of rural houses are of particular importance.
