The coal mine workers in Tarzeh (a subsidiary of the Eastern Alborz Coal Company located in the Damghan County of Semnan Province) criticized their living conditions, stating that their wages for August have not been paid and, in addition, the payment of their two months of insurance has also been delayed.

These workers stated that their living conditions have become critical due to the existing inflation, adding: "Unfortunately, alongside general problems, the situation for the contract workers in the transportation unit is much worse; these workers now have two months of unpaid wages and are in severe financial distress."

Empty Promises from Management
According to the workers, the company management always makes promises to pay their claims, but in practice, no payments are made, and the repetition of these empty promises has led to dissatisfaction and distrust among the workers. These workers emphasized the exhausting nature of working in the coal mine, stating: "Working in a mine is one of the hardest and most dangerous jobs in the world. We receive the minimum wage for this difficult work, and that meager amount is also paid with a several-month delay."
Workers' Demands from Officials
In conclusion, the Tarzeh mine workers urged provincial officials and the management of the Eastern Alborz Coal Company to seriously consider the living conditions of the mine workers and to find solutions for the immediate settlement of overdue claims and payment of insurance so that the workers' tables do not remain empty any longer.
