The head of the Traffic Information and Control Center of the Police Force announced heavy traffic on 4 major highways in the country. According to him, the Chalus, Haraz, and Qazvin-Karaj-Tehran Freeway are facing a high volume of vehicle traffic, which has resulted in heavy congestion on these routes.

Traffic Status on Main Highways

The Chalus route, as one of the busiest routes in the country, has recently encountered heavy traffic. This route, due to its natural beauty and proximity to the capital, is always a focus for travelers and tourists. Additionally, the Haraz route, which is also considered one of the heavily trafficked routes, is facing heavy traffic due to the high volume of vehicles during peak hours.

The Qazvin-Karaj-Tehran Freeway, as one of the main intercity routes, also experiences heavy traffic during the weekends and holidays. Traffic on this route peaks especially in the early morning and late afternoon, and drivers should consider more time for passing through these routes.

Closure of the Talqan-Hoshtgerd Route

Apart from the heavy traffic on the mentioned routes, the Talqan-Hoshtgerd route is closed from the Talqan town to the Feshend-Ardehe junction due to adverse weather conditions and rockfalls. This situation has forced drivers to choose alternative routes and avoid traveling on this route.

The Police Force has urged drivers to drive more cautiously under these conditions and to avoid unnecessary trips. It is also recommended that if possible, they postpone their travels to non-peak hours to prevent heavy traffic.

In conclusion, the Police Force advises drivers to check the traffic and road conditions before starting their journey and to be aware of alternative routes to avoid traffic problems.
