Imam Khomeini (RA) Square in Esfarayen has now witnessed the presence of people standing together for 200 nights. Nights when sometimes the cold weather, rain, and summer heat have not prevented people from coming to this square. This square has turned into a place that is not just a gathering, but a story of the lives of individuals who each have a share in these nights.
People's Enthusiastic Presence in the Square
Masoumeh Ahmadi, 47, is one of the familiar faces at these gatherings who says she has only been absent for three nights and has been present on the rest. She has been in the square with a flag since the early days and considers her motivation to be supporting the country's warriors. Ahmadi emphasizes that her goal in staying in the square is to defend the warriors and insists on maintaining calm in the square. She refers to the incident of January 8 and states that people only protest against rising prices and do not want bitter events like the past to be repeated.

Stories of Mothers and Journalists
Among the crowd, Tajgol Ostadzadeh, the mother of martyr Basij member Hajj Sajjad Baghalian, is also present. She has participated in these gatherings for about 185 nights since the first night the people gathered in the square and considers her motivation to be following her dear leader. Ostadzadeh says: "My son was martyred in this very square, and I proudly continue his path." Hassan Nikzad, a journalist from IRIB in Esfarayen, has also documented and narrated the presence of the people during these nights. With 25 years of experience in journalism, he says that these gatherings have become a part of the people's lifestyle, and they strive to be present in the square every night.
Now, 200 nights have passed. Families stand together, young people gather in another part, and the tents are still set up. Tea and refreshments circulate among the people, and cultural, religious, and prayer programs form part of the nights in the square. Imam Khomeini (RA) Square now has 200 nights of memories and a living story of people who, despite all challenges, continue to stand together.
