Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, described the dialogue with the United States as ineffective during his speech at the fourth congress of the International Movement of Russophiles, stating that no results are expected in the future.

No Impact of Dialogues

Lavrov emphasized that no tangible impact has been observed in the revival of relations between Russia and the United States, asserting: "Such expectations are not anticipated in the foreseeable future." These remarks come amid rising tensions between the two countries due to political and military disagreements.

Serious Engagement with Like-Minded Countries

The Russian Foreign Minister continued that his country is always willing to engage in serious dialogue with those who are interested and is prepared for this purpose. He noted that the United States also engages with Russia in the same manner. These statements reflect Russia's willingness to establish communication with countries seeking cooperation.

Lavrov also referred to security challenges, stating that Moscow will find ways to respond to these challenges. He emphasized: "We have the necessary capabilities to provide an appropriate response to external challenges against the security, development, and well-being of our citizens."

Support for Ukraine and Return to Nazi Ideology

In another part of his speech, Lavrov referred to Western support for Ukraine, stating that this support, under the pretext of Ukraine adhering to European values, signifies Europe's return to supporting Nazism and those promoting Nazi ideology. These remarks clearly indicate Russia's concerns regarding Western approaches to Ukraine and their implications for regional security.

Overall, Lavrov's statements at this congress represent Russia's firm stance against the West and its desire to maintain internal security and development. Given the rising tensions and security challenges, it seems that Moscow is seeking to create a comprehensive strategy to counter external threats.
