Mohammad Reza Alizadeh, CEO of the House of Iranian Arts, emphasized the importance of the private sector's role in the development of culture and art, calling for the facilitation of cultural organizations' activities, a reduction in bureaucracy, and the establishment of stability and transparency for investors and activists in this field. He stressed the necessity of mutual cooperation between the government and the private sector.
The Key Role of the Private Sector in Culture and Art
In his note, Alizadeh pointed out that culture and art are an important part of the identity and social capital of any society, and supporting them is not merely a ceremonial or occasional action. He stated that the "House of Iranian Arts" was established with the perspective that effective and constructive communication can be created among artists, cultural activists, society, and the private sector.

He further added: "The private sector can invest in the field of culture and art, but it cannot replace policymaking and governmental responsibilities. It is the duty of the cultural authorities to create a suitable environment and facilitate legal activities."
Demands from Cultural Officials
The CEO of the House of Iranian Arts emphasized that cultural activists need stability, transparency, and the ability to plan, stating: "One cannot talk about the necessity of the private sector's presence in culture and art on one hand and set up complex and time-consuming processes in such a way that cultural activities become associated with unnecessary risks for investors and private activists on the other hand."
Alizadeh also reminded that if the private sector is to invest in culture, security and clear conditions for this investment must be provided. He stated: "We do not expect the government and cultural institutions to cover all the costs of art, but we believe that the presence of the private sector can activate the overlooked capacities of culture and art."
He concluded by adding: "This cooperation must be a two-way relationship. The private sector accepts its responsibilities and, in return, expects cultural authorities to effectively fulfill their duties. This demand is neither a confrontation with the government nor a personal critique of managers, but a responsible critique and transparent demand, which is essential for reform and progress in the field of culture."
Alizadeh emphasized: "If we want Iranian art to find its deserving place in the international arena, we must move beyond words and take action. Our demand is clear: facilitate the path for cultural activities and trust cultural activists."
